Reservation and Cancellation Policies

 

Reservations and deposits
Once you choose your trip, dates and you confirm the reservation, payment of a 20% non-refundable deposit will be required or the reservation will automatically be released. The booking will be confirmed by Waterburg Safaris upon receipt of the deposit. The balance of payment is required 45 days prior to the date that the tour begins. A booking made within 45 days of commencement is payable in full on confirmation. On confirmation of your booking, all guests are required to complete the reservations form provided and send it to us for your profile.

Pre-departure Information
Upon receipt of confirmation of your reservation and deposit by Waterburg Safaris, a pre-departure packet with your payment receipt, daily trip itinerary, suggestions for preparing for your trip, including the packing list and information on pre and post trip arrangement will immediately be sent to you.

Cancellations and refunds
All cancellations should be made in writing, (email or fax) and will only be deemed effective upon acknowledge of receipt by Waterburg Safaris.  Cancellations will be subject to the following fees:
46 Days or more prior to start of trip: forfeit 20% deposit
45 –31 Days prior to start of trip: forfeit 50% of the package price
30 – 15 Days prior to start of trip: forfeit 75% of the package price
14 Days  or less prior to start of trip: forfeit 100% of the package price

Package Prices
Package prices are based on current rates of exchange, tariffs, park fees and taxes as of January 2011. Waterburg Safaris reserves the right to increase package prices to cover increased tariffs, park fees, taxes and fluctuations in foreign exchange markets.

Luggage Restrictions
Space is limited on our mobile safaris. Consequently, each guest is allowed 12 kg of luggage in a soft, compact duffel bag, plus a small back bag and limited camera equipment. Any expenses incurred as a result of excess luggage will be for the guests own account i.e. additional charter.

Schedules & Itineraries
Although Waterburg Safaris makes every effort to adhere to schedules and itineraries, these are subject to change in light of changing local conditions and availability. You will be notified of any changes prior to departure.
